North Wales Events
The North Wales Events programme isn’t confined to summer, it goes on all year, from Wales Country Fair at Bodelwyddan Castle in June to August’s Denbigh and Flint Show, to Erddig Apple Festival in October, to Anglesey Winter Fair. Denbighshire and Flintshire Agricultural Society Show in the Vale of Clwyd is among the biggest and oldest in North Wales, celebrating 146 years in 2008, while Anglesey Agricultural Show in August attracts over 59,000 people.
Other popular country fairs are at Bodelwyddan Castle, Caernarfon, Llanrwst, Cerrigydrudion, Llansannan and Trawsfynydd. Attractions range from Welsh livestock to show-jumping, gardening competitions and rare plant stalls.
