The diverse landscape means there are seaside hotels, country hotels, large and small hotels, quiet hotels and family hotels with childrens menus, baby-sitting services and fun activities in the surrounding area. The choice of reasonably priced accommodation in North Wales is extensive for mid-week and weekend breaks, high season and low season holidays, special offers and, depending on time of year, there are some hotels offering discounts.

With hotel room rates in North Wales from £30 to £80 and over, the standard of accommodation in all grades is generally clean and comfortable. Hotel listings are available from Wales Tourist Board or local tourist information offices. Many individual hotel websites give more information on hotel availability, per person and room tariffs.
Styles vary from the Gateway to Wales Hotel at Deeside, near Cheshire Oaks, to Wrexham’s four star Ramada Plaza close to the business area, the Victorian built Cross Lanes Hotel at Marchwiel and the Castle Hotel, Conway in an old coaching inn.

There are picturesque hotels on Anglesey; budget hotels in Rhyl, near the family funfairs and amusement arcades; hotels catering for walkers and cyclists in Snowdonia; pet-friendly hotels in Caernarfon including Plas Dinas Country House and the Prince of Wales; hotels within easy distance of North Wales festivals and others in more rural areas like Pen-y-Gwryd Hotel, central to Snowdonia National Park.

With Llangollen International Eisteddfod and its growing fringe festival also big on the agenda, most hotels in North Wales are now geared up to cater for the influx of visitors that such events bring, offering plentiful car parking facilities, family friendly accommodation and festival packages.

The elegant Empire Hotel and the Imperial are superbly placed to enjoy Llandudno’s Victorian extravaganza, while the Bryn Howell at Llangollen once played host to Pavarotti.

The festival season in North Wales runs from early spring to autumn, with events ranging from the innovative Wrexham Science Festival to the drama of competitive youth eisteddfods, the colour filled Llandudno Victorian Fair, musically inspired Faenol Festival and tasty snippets of Anglesey Oyster Festival and Conway Food Festival. And if first class food is on your holiday menu there are numerous North Wales hotels with a la carte restaurants, full board and half board deals or simply delicious traditional Welsh breakfasts.
