Llangollen International Youth Day

The finalised line-up for this year's Llangollen International Youth Day on July 10 has been confirmed and includes UK all-girl folk band Tiny Tin Lady.

Tiny Tin Lady were formed four years ago and have toured with Fairport Convention, played at the Glastonbury Festival, and received critical acclaim for their 2007 debut CD, The Sound Of Requiem.

Folk troubadour, Ralph McTell, commented, "These girls show huge potential and a respect for music that belies their tender years. They are absolutely great."

"We're so pleased to have engaged one of the hottest-rated young folk acts of the past couple of years," said Llangollen's Executive Director Mervyn Cousins.

Other performers and workshops confirmed for International Youth Day include Zimbabwe's Siyaya Dance troupe (who also perform Onke Ose: The History Of Africa in Dance that evening), Mexican duo, Bayou Seco, the Australian Ploughboys, and the amazing Black Swan Rappers who perform a sword dance originally performed by miners in the pit villages of Tyneside.

Daily ground admission tickets cost just £8 for adults and £5 for under 16's and allow entry to unreserved seating in the Pavilion, subject to availability.
