Mud Morganfield in Wrexham

THE son of the greatest blues man ever, Muddy Waters, makes his first appearance in Wales on Friday, March 20.

The historic concert by Mud Morganfield is hosted by the longest standing dedicated blues club in north Wales, Goin' Up The Country whose members are based around the villages of the Maelor district of Wrexham.

It will be at Overton on Dee Village Hall, 5 miles south west of Wrexham.

Bearing an uncanny resemblance to his father not only in appearance but also in voice, he is backed by top UK blues band Big Joe Louis and His Blues Kings.

The opening acoustic duo will be Wrexham-based guitarist Tommy Allen and from the Chester area, harmonica player Johny Hewitt.
