One of the most pleasant and reasonably priced places to stay near Llandudno is Tan Y Bryn Farm, Bryn Pydew, LL31 9JZ (01492 549296).
The campsite is small and can accommodate up to 5 vans and 10 tents. There is also a 4* B&B, which is often used by those who’ve camped at the site for a number of years.
The site, which is run by Karen Jones and her husband, is a working with views of the Great Orme, Llandudno, and the sea.
There are taps, toilets, showers (£1 for 15 minutes), and electric hookups.
The B&B has a large twin room and a conservatory.
Owing to the popularity and small size of this site it is usually necessary to book in advance.

Llandudno is full of delightful little places to stay. The B&Bs are often family run and guarantee warm welcomes, making your stay in Llandudno highly enjoyable.
One such establishment is the ‘Hen-Dy’ (01492 876 184), which is near the Great Orme on the seafront and has views across the bay to the Little Orme.
As with several B&B’s along the seafront, the Victorian pier and promenade are a literal stone’s throw away and Llandudno’s shops are just round the corner.
The Hen-Dy has ten en-suite bedrooms and Welsh Tourist Board has awarded it a 3 * rating.
Other guesthouses, such as the 4* Cliffbury Guest House (01492 877224), are tucked away on Llandudno’s tree lined avenues.
The rooms are kitted out with television and internet, and Llandudno’s attractions, such as Venue Cymru, are in close proximity.
