The Marine Club at Beaumaris - a new concept in boating
At some point most of us have had thoughts of buying a boat and enjoying a fun summers day of fishing, exploring or simply floating through the Menai Strait.
Unfortunately, logic usually overtakes passion as the process of buying and running your own boat is both expensive and time consuming.
The result is that you leave your dreams for another time - I'll do it next year.
Well, the team at ABC Power Marine have teamed up with local yacht consultancy firm, Synergy Yachting and have come up with a novel solution with the launch of The Marine Club.
The Marine Club is a simple scheme whereby members pay an annual fee to have access to the fleet of boats.
Each day afloat is worth a varying amount of points purchased relative to the value of the boat and the day it is used.
Synergy Yachting run a similar marine club at the fantastic leisure park development at Plas Coch where they have an exclusive fleet of boats available only for park residents. The club has proved so popular that they felt it was time to go public.
The Marine Club at Beaumaris will operate from the Gallows Point base of ABC Power Marine and will mainly be using the stunning Monterey range of sportsboats. Whether slicing through waves or waterskiing, these powerful, safe and slick boats are perfect for cruising the Strait in comfort.
All members need to do is reserve the days they want, then simply turn up at the private launch facilities. Head out to navigate the swellies and enjoy the flat waters leading to Caernarfon.
Pass through Aber Menai to the beaches of Llanddwyn, anchoring in the peaceful Pilots Cove. At the end of the day the club takes care of refueling, cleaning and storing the boat leaving members free to enjoy the memories of the day.

By requesting that all members hold a recognized boating qualification they are setting the standards high.
